Product Description

Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 is an acrylic based paint suitable for all types of interior masonry surfaces. Its ProCover+ Technology gives 20% more coverage than standard paint and Hygiene+ Technology provides protection against algae and fungus. Its anti-bacterial properties also provide protection against certain bacteria strains.

Application Description

Apply 3-4 coats of Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 with 2-3 hours of interval in between coats. Thinning ratio must be followed as per application procedure.

Technical & Safety Documentation

Treatments such as sanding, burning off etc. of paint films may generate hazardous dust and/or fumes. Wet sanding/ flatting should be used wherever possible. Work in well ventilated areas. Use suitable personal protection equipment. Lift with care – gross weight exceeds 10kg. Wear eye/ hand protection. Do not breathe vapors/spray. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Remove as much paints as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning. Avoid release to the environment. Collect spillage. Keep away from food, drinks and animal feed. Store in a cool and shaded place. Container must be in a secure, upright position and be tightly closed. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin wash immediately with soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners. Do not empty into water course. Safety data sheet available for professional/ user on request.

Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    New or Bare Surfaces:
    New or bare surfaces must be clean, dry and free from efflorescent salts. Remove all loose, defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff fibre brush and dust off. Treat any areas affected by mould, lichens, algae and moss with Dulux Aquashield PreTreatment Coat. After priming new surfaces with Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 Primer, fill the surface with Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 Putty. Please refer to PDS of Dulux Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 primer and putty for correct application procedure and drying time properties. For best results a single coat of Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 Primer over putty and dry overnight.

    Previously Painted Surface:
    Remove all loose, defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff fibre brush and dust off. Spot prime and fill the surface as describe above if required.

    Powdery, dusty and cracked surface:
    Make good minor defects. For larger holes and cracks use sand and cement mixture. Allow the surface to dry. Prime the surface and then fill any surface imperfections with Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 Putty. For best results a single coat of Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 Primer over wall putty and dry overnight.

    Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after use
