Product Description

Dulux Professional Solitaire Putty A1000 is a ready to use filler that has an excellent whiteness, coverage and application properties.

Application Description

Apply 2-3 coats of Dulux Professional Solitaire Putty A1000 with an interval of 2-3 hours in between coats.

Technical & Safety Documentation

Treatments such as sanding, burning off etc. of paint films may generate hazardous dust and/or fumes. Wet sanding/ flatting should be used wherever possible. Work in well ventilated areas. Use suitable personal protection equipment. Lift with care – gross weight exceeds 10kg. Wear eye/ hand protection. Do not breathe vapors/spray. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Remove as much paints as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning. Avoid release to the environment. Collect spillage. Keep away from food, drinks and animal feed. Store in a cool and shaded place. Container must be in a secure, upright position and be tightly closed. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin wash immediately with soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners. Do not empty into water course. Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    New or Bare Surfaces:
    New surfaces must be clean, dry, free from all defective or poorly adhering material. Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff fibre brush and dust off. Treat any area affected by mould, lichens, algae or moss with Dulux Aquashield PreTreatment Coat. After priming new surfaces with Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 Primer, dry over night, fill the surface with Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 Putty. Allow the filler to dry for 2-3 hours and apply second coat of Putty. Third coat is recommended for extra smoothness. Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 Putty can also be applied directly on new unpainted surfaces. Third coat is recommended for extra smoothness. For best results apply one coat of Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 Primer again over wall putty and dry overnight.

    Previously Painted Surface:
    Remove all loose, defective paint and powdery residues by thorough brushing or scraping using a stiff fibre brush and dust off. Smooth surface with Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 Putty as described above if required.

    Powdery, Dusty and Cracked Surfaces:
    Make good minor defects. For larger holes and cracks use sand and cement mixture. Allow the surface to dry. Prime the surface and then fill out any imperfections with Dulux Professional Solitaire A1000 Putty as described above. Scuff the surface using abrasive paper and dust off.
  • 2. Cleaning
    Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after use
