Product Description

Dulux Professional Solitaire A900 is a premium water based, high quality durable and
washable emulsion paint with rich matt finish. It is suitable for all normal interior masonry
surfaces including particle board, fiber and insulation boards.

Application Description

Surface Preparation

Ensure that the surface is clean and free from grime, dust, flakes, grease etc. For old surfaces, remove all loosely adhering particles, powdery materials or defective paints by thorough brushing, scraping and water jetting, if required.
For best results and for surfaces that remain powdery, friable or chalky even after thorough preparation, application of topcoat material as primer with 1:1 dilution in water as an extra coat, is recommended.
For algae & fungus-affected area, application of Pre Treatment Coat is recommended.
On horizontal surfaces, it is recommended to do 3 coats of topcoat material.
Allow new surface to dry out completely. It is recommended to allow at least 12 weeks as the curing time for new masonry surfaces. Please ensure pH level between 7 & 9 before painting.
Fill up all minor cracks and defects with cement and sand mixture in the ratio 1:3. Avoid application of putty or filling compound.
Exterior Sealer E900 should not be applied to the surfaces or substrates which are exposed to continuous seepage or dampness.
For best adhesion performance, the moisture content in the wall should not exceed 10%.

By roller, brush or conventional /airless spray (nozzle size 0.5mm to 0.7mm)

Dilution
Dilute 1 part of Exterior Sealer E900 with 1 part of clean water by volume.

Note: Excessive dilution from that recommended will result in low coverage and may impact application properties and color.

Treatments such as sanding, burning off etc of paint fims may generate hazardous dust and other fumes. Wet sanding/flaming should bo used wherever possible. Work in well ventiated areas. Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    New concrete/plaster surface should be allowed to mature properly. Ensure that
    the surface is clean, dry, free from all loose particles, dust, dirt, grease, wax etc.
    before application. All surfaces should be thoroughly rubbed down using a suitable
    abrasive paper and thereafter wiped off. Suitable remedial measures should be
    taken in case of water seepage/leakage problems. Fungus affected areas need
    separate treatment. For previously painted surfaces strip all the paint before
    starting the above process.
  • 2. Cleaning
    Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after use.
  • 3. Storing
    Observe label precautions. Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat and direct sunlight.Keep away from sources of ignition. No smoking. Prevent unauthorised access. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.
